For all of the nostalgic people in Buenos Aires who still love analog.
1.Turista Film Club
Best for: Developing film, Merch, Coffee
A trendy film store located in Palermo with a coffee shop attached to it. They’re super friendly and edgy and can develop your film in ~2-3 days. The cameras are a bit expensive here so I wouldn’t necessarily recommend purchasing a new analog camera here. They do have a nice variety if you’re in the market.
The merch is awesome so it will be difficult to walk out of the store without a new analog themed item! They are also able to fix your camera if you need help with it.
2. Tokyo Photo Lab
Best for: Developing film
Tokyo Photo Lab is located in Nunez and is pretty small, and also has a decent selection of cameras and they are able to develop film there. It’s all pink inside and very aesthetically pleasing.
The biggest drawback here is that unless you want to pay more for expedited processing, it typically takes about 7-10 business days to develop film which can be testing my patience at times.
3. Antique Cameras
Best for: Purchasing a camera
Antique Cameras is located in San Telmo and has that classic San Telmo bohemian vibe. You’re not able to develop film here, just buy cameras. They have a good stock and aren’t pushy on trying to get you to buy a camera.
I would recommend looking here if you’re looking to get a new camera and want some genuine advice on what would be good for you.
4. Mercadito Analogico
Best for: Purchasing a camera
Mercadito Analogico is a classic Buenos Aires store located in Recoleta where you have to ring a doorbell for the guy to come out and get you. This store has a great variety of cameras and a very homey feel. I think that this store generally has the best prices for cameras so you’ll walk out of here with a good deal.
